We welcome all students to take summer classes. The college maintains housing, dining, library, recreational, and other services throughout the Summer Session.
In addition to courses on the Cortland campus, during the summer we offer courses at the Brauer Field Station near Albany, at the Mohawk Valley Graduate Center in Utica, and at outreach sites in Oneonta and Binghamton, N.Y.; or perhaps you would like to study abroad this summer. Cortland also participates in the SUNY Learning Network which offers courses on line.

A preliminary lisitng of courses is available on this web site. The complete summer schedule will be available on the web in March. All summer information will be available through this web site or the Registrar's web site instead of a printed schedule.
Registering for Classes
Course registration information will be available on this website. Registration will begin April 5 for matriculated graduate students and April 12 for matriculated undergraduate students. Non-matriculated students will be able to register via paper form beginning April 24.
Policies
All policies, standards and regulations governing study at SUNY Cortland as stated the the 2009-2010 College Catalog remain in force during the Summer Session.
A student taking a three-credit hours short (intensive) course during one five-week term may not take a class that meets the full five-week term, but may register for another short (intensive course or, if the schedule permits, two short (intensive courses) with exclusions made for a physical education activities and clinics. None of the courses may overlap.
Students taking one week, intensive courses, are not eligible for financial aid.
Graduate students may register for a total of 8 credit hours in each 5 week session.
Undergraduate students may register for a total of 7 credit hours in each 5 week session.
No classes on Monday, May 31, Memorial Day Observance.
10 Week Term Classes begin on Wednesday, May 26, and end Thursday, August 5.
Session I Classes begin on Wednesday, May 26, and end Wednesday June 30.
Term A Classes begin on Wednesday, May 26, and end Monday, June 14.
Term B Classes begin Tuesday, June 15, and end Wednesday, June 30.
Last day to add a class, Wednesday, May 26.
Session II Classes begin on Monday, July 5, and end Thursday, August 5.
Term C Classes begin Monday July 5, and end Tuesday, July 20.
Term DClasses begin Wednesday, July 21 and end Thursday, August 5.
