Summer Session - SUNY Cortland

Summer Session

We welcome all students to take summer classes. The college maintains housing, dining, library, recreational, and other services throughout the Summer Session.

In addition to courses on the Cortland campus, during the summer we offer courses at the Brauer Field Station near Albany, at the Mohawk Valley Graduate Center in Utica, and at outreach sites in Oneonta and Binghamton, N.Y. Study abroad opportunities also exist during the summer timeframe.

All policies, standards and regulations governing study at SUNY Cortland as stated the the 2015-2016 College Catalog remain in force during the Summer Session.

Classes may be canceled due to low enrollment.

Students may register for a class through the first day of the term the class is offered in.

A student taking a three-credit hours short (intensive) course during one five-week term may not take a class that meets the full five-week term, but may register for another short (intensive course if the schedule permits with exclusions made for a physical education activities and clinics. None of the courses may overlap.

  • Students taking one week, intensive courses, are not eligible for financial aid.
