There are a variety of ways to fund your education. SUNY Cortland particiates in most federal and state financial aid programs. When you receive your award letter, it will contain one or more of the four major types of financial aid listed below.

- Private Loans and Additional Funding Opportunities
Most grants, student employment and loan eligibility are determined by using the information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA.) SUNY Cortland recommends that you file your FAFSA by March 1.
