Campus ChampionHands-on lessons make for memorable learning, and they're key to becoming a successful teacher, says childhood/early childhood education professor Orvil White. Whether it’s at the College’s Outdoor Education Center at Raquette Lake or in Thailand, where he started a summer teaching program, Professor White calls on the world around him to make his own memorable lessons. The former high school science teacher returned recently from the month-long Teach in Thailand Study Abroad internship program. His students earned six credit hours and shared once-in-a-lifetime cross-cultural experiences, immersing themselves in Thai classrooms and customs.
