Campus Champion

Jasmilka Peña, a senior community health major, is completing a fieldwork internship in New York City but she’ll return to campus on April 20 to receive some nods for her hard work while at SUNY Cortland. She’ll receive the Community Health Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement at a Health Department awards ceremony and later she’ll join SUNY Cortland students in the top 5% of their class for acknowledgements, awards and scholarships distributed at Honors Convocation. Here, Jasmilka will accept a Presidents List Achievement award and the Katherine Allen Whitaker Award, given to a senior health major based upon academic excellence, charm and compassion.
