Central New York

City of Cortland

In a beautiful natural setting at the intersection of the seven valleys in central New York State sits the thriving city of Cortland. Just a short walk from the SUNY Cortland campus, the downtown business district retains its Victorian heritage and serves a population of about 20,000 residents.

At SUNY Cortland you can view exhibitions in the Dowd Gallery and Brooks Museum, listen to music and lectures, watch theatre and attend special events. Around the central New York region, you can enjoy a wide range of entertainment.
