Every year, the Psychology Department recognizes outstanding students at SUNY Cortland’s Honors Convocation. Earning such an award is a wonderful way to culminate your hard work and success at SUNY Cortland and is a strong addition to resumes and job and graduate school applications.
There are four award categories. We invite students who believe they are eligible for any of the following awards to self-nominate him/her/their self for one or more. Please read the award descriptions below and go to the provided link to self-nominate:
Junior Psychology Major Achievement Award- Presented to the junior psychology major who demonstrates excellence in the classroom and in extracurricular activities related to psychology.
Senior Psychology Major Achievement Award- Presented to the senior psychology major who demonstrates excellence in the classroom and in extracurricular activities related to psychology.
Non-traditional Student Major Achievement Award- Presented to the non-traditional senior psychology major who demonstrates excellence in the classroom and in extracurricular activities related to psychology.
The Psychology Research Award- Presented to the psychology major who demonstrates excellence in research.
*Note: Students must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA to be eligible for any award
