SUNY Cortland hosting public COVID-19 test site

01/05/2022

SUNY Cortland will host a free, state-run COVID-19 testing site for the general public starting Friday, Jan. 7.

The site, located at the Stadium Complex, 1096 Lankler Drive, in the Carl A. “Chugger” Davis Building, will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Parking will be available in the Stadium West Parking Lot (S-68), located just west of the stadium complex on Lankler Drive.

Appointments may be made online through Quadrant Biosciences. A limited number of walk-ups may be accepted. Appointments are encouraged.

This is an oral, saliva-based PCR test. Results may take a few days to return.

Those arriving for testing should know:

  • Face coverings will be required to enter the building.
  • One hour before testing: Do not brush your teeth or use mouthwash.
  • Thirty minutes before testing: Do not eat or drink anything (this includes chewing gum, mints or lozenges) and do not smoke, vape or use smokeless tobacco products.
  • Bring legal and valid identification.

SUNY Cortland students who experience COVID-19 symptoms are encouraged to call Student Health Service at 607-753-4811 to schedule a test. Additional information about testing for SUNY Cortland students, faculty and staff will be communicated via campus email.

“As a member of this special community, SUNY Cortland is always eager to help,” SUNY Cortland President Erik J. Bitterbaum said. “During times like these, all segments of the community must collaborate and work together.”
