Champions Challenge: Complete
We set the challenge. SUNY Cortland champions — 687 of them — answered the call. The number is proof that Thursday, Nov. 12, truly was a memorable day to be a Red Dragon.
Over the course of 24 hours, the College’s Champions Challenge saw 687 donors give a collective $114,226 after two different challenges were laid out. Gifts came from all different groups from all across the world. Together, they will benefit causes that touch every corner of campus: student scholarships, undergraduate research, arts and cultural programming and athletics to name just a few.
The day’s challenge required a championship-caliber effort, and our most loyal supporters supplied it. Led by four generous alumni challenge donors, the collective success involved alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends. The beneficiaries, no doubt, will be current and future Red Dragons.
Our deepest gratitude goes to all who contributed throughout the day, whether it was by making a gift, volunteering time or simply spreading news of the challenge. A day’s work will leave a lasting impact for years to come.
