Internship Opportunities

In the Communication and Media Studies department, students receive the training necessary to succeed as professional media makers, journalists, and communicators in the work force. However, the transition from classroom to career can often be tedious. Therefore, CMS students are strongly encouraged (if not required) to complete one or more internships during their time at SUNY Cortland. These internship opportunities allow students to gain real world experience in a professional setting while building both their resume and network.

Listed below are several college specific internship opportunities as well as search databases meant to help CMS students find the ideal internship for them. However, students are not limited to these lists and are welcome to secure an internship of their choosing.

All students are encouraged to meet with their academic advisor before starting the internship process.
