Cortland Engagement Initiative seeks to keep community connected

04/21/2020

Last week, a new campus group created to help keep the SUNY Cortland community connected and engaged during distance learning shared its first initiative: a video message of encouragement:

The video was created through the collaboration of a small group of faculty and staff within the 30-member Cortland Engagement Initiative, led by Associate Provost for Academic Affairs Carol Van Der Karr. Those who worked on this video included: Jaclyn Lawrence, Michelle LoGerfo, Frederic Pierce, Ricardo Nelson, Tracy Rammacher, Michael Turner, Van Der Karr and Paul van der Veur.

The larger group has since collaborated on other initiatives, making extensive use of SUNY Cortland’s social media channels. Several more are in the works.

The larger group, in addition to the people already mentioned, includes: Martha Alvarez, Michael Bersani, Mark Bischoff, Erin Boylan, AnnaMaria Cirrincione, Darci Contri, Kayla DeCoste, Nancy Diller, Will Montgomery, Mary Kate Morris, Matthew Nuesell, Cyrenius Nelson, Nan Pasquarello, Kevin Pristash, Kathleen Reilly, Julianna Santamaria, Pam Schroeder, Marinda Souva, Suzanne Sprague, Veronica Ulerio and Marissa Whitaker.
