04/28/2025

Bridget Hier, assistant professor, Psychology Department, is the recipient of this year's Fine Teaching Development Award. She received the award to develop applied practical and research opportunities for students in the Psychology in Schools (PSYS) minor.  Specifically, she will be developing supervised opportunities for PSYS students to gain practical experience applying course content with children and adolescents in K-12 school settings.  This project is designed to address several of the University’s educational priorities, including (a) actively engaging students in applying classroom-based knowledge to real-life contexts and (b) developing professionalism skills to improve their future employability.

This annual award is sponsored by the Faculty Development Committee.
