E. Kim Stone

In Memoriam

E. Kim Stone, associate professor in the English and Africana Studies departments, died on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022 after a long fight against cancer. 

Kim, who received a Ph.D. in postcolonial studies from UC Santa Barbara, had taught at SUNY Cortland since 2008. Her research focused on the representation of single women in postcolonial fiction and film and she had been published in many journals, including Ariel: A Review of International English Literature, Camera Obscura and The Journal of Commonwealth Literature.
