Cortland has developed transfer planning sheets for each major to be used in conjunction with the Transfer Equivalency Charts to assist in planning your courses at your current college. The following sheets have been filled in with the specific SUNY Broome equivalent to the SUNY Cortland course.

SUNY Transfer Path courses are notated in blue and underlined on the planning sheets.
General Education Category 4 U.S. History and Society: An 85 or higher on the New York State Regents exam in U.S. History allows a student to choose from more options in this category. Courses recommended (HIS 200 or 201) assume that you do not have an 85 or higher, but will fulfill the requirement regardless of score.
Cortland General Education categories 11 and 12 are specific to SUNY Cortland, and transfer students are eligible to be waived out of these 2 categories with 35 or more transfer credits. Therefore, courses in these GE categories are not recommended on the sheets.
SUNY has created Transfer Paths that summarize the common lower division requirements at most SUNY campuses for similar majors within most disciplines. If you want to prepare for as many SUNY campuses as possible, the SUNY Transfer Paths will help you identify core coursework that will prepare you for multiple SUNY campuses. Courses that are SUNY Transfer Path courses are noted on the transfer planning sheets in blue.
