Outdoor Education Center at Raquette Lake
Some of your most memorable SUNY Cortland experiences will take place at the Outdoor Education Center at Raquette Lake, which is located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. You'll have a chance to participate in team building activities and maybe even take a mid-winter dip in the lake at this beautiful and unique facility that's the only National Historic Landmark in the SUNY system.
If your major falls into one of the following areas, you may have the opportunity to study at Raquette Lake:
- Art and Art History Department
- Biological Sciences Department
- Childhood/Early Childhood Education Department
- Geology Department
- History Department
- Physical Education Department
- Recreation and Leisure Studies Department
The Athletics Department and Student Government Association hold their leadership retreats at the Outdoor Education Center as well as members of COR 101 classes, learning communities, Honors Program, the Political Science Club and orientation assistants.
The Outdoor Education Center at Raquette Lake is comprised of three facilities — Antlers, Camp Huntington and Kirby Camp. Most programs take place at Camp Huntington. Learn more about all three locations by visiting the links below.
