Winter Season: Jan. 2-March 14
Summer Season: May 1-Nov. 1
Huntington Memorial Camp, also known as Camp Huntington, is comprised of 40 buildings that represent a combination of the Adirondacks’ historical past and modern conveniences. Located on Raquette Lake’s Long Point, the site is accessible only by boat in the summer and by ice road during the winter. The camp accommodates up to 70 participants in various dorm-style and historic buildings throughout the year.
While rustic, the site has a wireless computer network and video conferencing capabilities. Four individual meeting areas — Carlson Classroom, Knox Classroom, Metcalf Hall and the library — are available.
Camp Huntington offers visitors and groups a variety of outdoor equipment and resources to meet their objectives. These include approximately four miles of hiking and cross-country ski trails, the self-guided Waldbauer Nature Trail, canoes, kayaks, cross-country skis, boots and poles, snowshoes, tents and camping equipment.
The site also has a challenge course with high and low elements, plus a climbing wall. Groups interested in using the course must first be instructed by trained facilitators. A list of instructors will be provided.
The camp does not provide programs and staff. Dining services are outlined in the Antlers section.
