Event held for World Suicide Prevention Day

Wellness-Table-Event.jpgConley Counseling and Wellness Services presented a tabling event on Sept. 10 in honor of World Suicide Prevention Day. Students, faculty, and staff learned ways they can support someone experiencing a mental health crisis and how to use the 988 suicide and crisis lifeline.

Activities at the event raised awareness by offereing temporary tattoos, wristbands or stickers, and adding a positive message of encouragement to the “hope wall.” The event inspired meaningful conversations on the topics of suicide awareness and the importance of mental health services.
