Honors Convocation

Each spring, SUNY Cortland recognizes students for their academic achievements at the annual Honors Convocation. Awards and scholarships are presented at the ceremony. The 2010 Honors Convocation will take place on Saturday, April 17 at 7 p.m. in the Park Center Alumni Arena.   Further information will be posted in March 2010.

Student Reporting Locations

Students should report to their corresponding location at 6 p.m. to ensure that the ceremony will begin promptly at 7 p.m. All guests should proceed directly to Alumni Arena.

* Please note: Honors Convocation is a formal event. Students are encouraged to wear attire appropriate for a business presentation.

Students receiving a top five percent recognition only report Park Center, Room D-305 (rock climbing gym).

Students receiving both the top five percent recognition and a department or All-College award report to Park Center, Room D-327 (front dance studio).

Students receiving a department or All-College award only report to the Park Center Skate Change Area (located near the ground floor entrance of Alumni Arena).

Faculty and Staff Reporting Locations

Faculty and Staff should report to their corresponding location at 6 p.m. to ensure that the ceremony will begin promptly at 7 p.m.

Faculty members presenting awards on behalf of their department report to Park Center, Room A-317.

Faculty members participating in the processional report to Park Center, Room D-321 (back dance studio).

Members of the platform party report to Park Center, Room A-307.

Reception

A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony for all students, guests, faculty and staff.
