2024 Honors Convocation Ceremony

Each spring, SUNY Cortland recognizes students for their academic achievements at the annual Honors Convocation.
Students in the top 5% of their class are acknowledged and awards and scholarships are presented.

The 2024 Honors Convocation ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 5 p.m.

Students who achieve top 5% distinction of their respective class will receive an email notification from the President’s Office to their Cortland address by the first week in March.

The 2024 Honors GPA breakdown is shown by class year in the chart below:

For a full list of the Honors Convocation awards and scholarships, please visit the Awards tab. New award submissions can be made through Friday, Jan. 19, 2024. Departments will be notified regarding the status of their submission the first week in February 2024.

If you would like to send a note of appreciation to a faculty/staff member who has assisted in your academic journey at SUNY Cortland, simply fill out the Honors Convocation Thank You form and Campus Event Management will share your message with your selected faculty/staff member(s). 

Those who have achieved top 5% distinction will be mailed a certificate to their home address.
Official notification of the award or scholarship has been sent out previously by the department or committee making the selection.
