A Commencement postcard will be sent to students' permanent addresses. The information provided on the postcard is also listed on the Commencement website. View the Commencement postcard (PDF).

Now through March 1

Apply for your degree

To graduate, you must apply for your degree regardless of participation in the Commencement ceremony. Visit the Student Registration and Record Services website to review the application timelines. Degree application is accomplished through myRedDragon. After logging in to myRedDragon, do the following:

  1. Select Student tab and go to the Registrar channel.
  2. Under “Degree and Conferral Information,” select Undergraduate Degree Application. You must apply by March 1 to ensure that your name will appear in the printed program.
  3. At prompt for Commencement participation, indicate whether you plan to attend a Commencement ceremony.

February

Students will receive an email about the online ticketing process and how to purchase items needed for Graduation.

March

Students who have missed the March 1 deadline can still apply for graduation, but their name will not appear in the printed program. Students who have yet to apply should do so ASAP.

Ticket selection begins on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.

To reserve Undergraduate Commencement ceremony ticket(s), complete the following steps:

  1. Log into myRedDragon.
  2. Select the Student Tab at the top.
  3. Under the Commencement 2020 Channel, select Get 2020 Undergraduate Commencement Tickets.
  4. Once in University Tickets site, select your assigned Undergraduate Ceremony.

April - May

  1. Check email account, myRedDragon announcements and the Commencement website frequently for the latest Commencement news.
  2. Clear up any outstanding obligations (holds) with the College, such as term balance due, parking tickets, recreation/athletic fees, library fees, etc.

A diploma can not be issued unless all obligations are cleared.

May 7 - 15

Students who miss the filing deadline to register for Commencement must apply on myRedDragon and contact the Special Events Office to receive their tickets.  

May 15

  1. Attend rehearsal Friday, May 15 at 2:30 p.m. in the Park Center Alumni Arena. Instructions for the day of the ceremony, including line-up procedures, will be provided. All candidates for graduation are encouraged to attend. Rehearsal will last approximately 30 minutes.
  2. If applicable, pick up honors tassels at the Student Registration and Record Services office or the day of ceremony.

May 16

Report to Park Center with your student line-up ticket and wearing gowns

  • Ceremony A report at 8:30 a.m. 
  • Ceremony B report at 1 p.m. 
  • Ceremony C report at 5 p.m.
