Please Note: All prices are subject to change. Cap, gown, tassel and diploma covers are required for participation. If you are planning to borrow a cap and gown, the diploma cover must be purchased in order to receive Commencement tickets. You will purchase the diploma cover, which you will receive the day of Commencement as you walk across the stage, through the online ticketing process as you receive your Student Line Up Ticket.
Students who have not applied for a degree will not have access to the online ticketing program. Please note, students who apply after the March 1 deadline are not guaranteed to be included in the Commencement program.
In order to participate in Commencement you must purchase a diploma cover through the online ticketing process. The diploma cover is linked to your Student Line-Up Ticket (which you must bring with you the day of Commencement). The diploma cover will be handed to you as you walk across the stage.
Students are encouraged to celebrate their study abroad, international student experience, or cultural heritage by wearing an international stole. For more information on how to purchase a stole, email the International Programs Office.

Please note: Commencement is a formal ceremony, please dress accordingly. The general rule is light weight, non-restricting clothes. Men do not have to wear jackets, but should wear a shirt and tie. Students are requested not to wear shorts, overalls, sandals or sneakers.
Tassels should be worn on the left side throughout the ceremony.
Students who qualify for an honors distinction based on their grade point averages recorded as of Feb. 1, 2020, will receive an honors tassel, which will be available in the Student Registration and Records Services beginning May 1, 2020. Additional details will be sent directly to those who qualify.

|Summa Cum Laude||3.75 and above||Red Tassel|
Students not qualifying for honors distinction will wear a black tassel. However, if the student’s grade point average at the end of the academic year meets the honors criteria as noted above, the honors distinction will be recorded and displayed on the official transcript and diploma.
Various departments also have individual honors programs. The departments may distribute cords or tassels to wear during the Commencement ceremony as well. Students should inquire with department chairs or advisors to verify if there is a specific honors distinction for a major/program.
