The Academic Calendar is the official College calendar that outlines semester start and end dates, official holidays, college breaks, mid-semester dates, quarter dates, student teaching timelines, study days, final exam periods, and commencement dates. The Official Academic Calendar is determined by the Campus Calendar Committee, chaired by the President's Office. The calendars are approved by the Faculty Senate prior to publication.
The final exam week is the last week in the Fall and Spring semesters. Semester exams conform to standard exam times based on the class schedule.
On April 27, 2015 the President's Cabinet approved changes to the student teaching schedule for the 2015-2017 academic years. The 2016-2017 academic calendar reflects the approved changes as of May 1, 2015.
The campus calendar provides for some specific times of religious observance, but is not an exhaustive representation of religious observances. New York State Education Law provides additional guidance and outlines additional obligations regarding religious observances.
