Calendar Event

During this Living Series workshop, we will reframe the concept of being rested by identifying ways you might feel energy deficits and practicing various resting strategies.

To rest might mean getting a good night’s sleep, taking a nap, going on vacation, having a day off of school/work, or taking a break to do something you enjoy – hiking, gaming, cooking, etc... While these are excellent options, science and our human experience shows us that feeling rested is more than taking a break in our routine. Do you sometimes feel more tired after sleeping late on a weekend or more anxious after binging your show?

The best part, you don’t have to wait for a weekend or day off; start implementing this approach in your daily routine now!

Why does this matter? We are more likely to have positive interactions, come up with creative solutions, and make choices that help us achieve our goals when we are rested and engaged. Navigating your life mentally, emotionally, and physically present is an attribute of resiliency and a mindful practice. And, as we learned in Living Resilient, increasing the tools (or strategies) in your “stress management toolbox” is a leading indicator of your success in school, your job, and just living each day the best you can!
