Open House

Spring Open House - also referred to as Accepted Student Open House - takes place Saturday, April 6.

This event provides the opportunity to learn more about your specific interests at SUNY Cortland. Ask questions. Chat with professors and students. Tour campus. Most importantly, experience life as a Red Dragon.

Any prospective student can attend, but the event is designed to be a day of celebration for accepted students. This event includes:

Welcome remarks, Park Center Alumni Arena - 9:45 a.m.

- SUNY Cortland President Erik J. Bitterbaum and other members of the campus community offer brief remarks. Coffee and pastries are provided.

Academic Programs, Student Services and Clubs Fair; Park Center Corey Gymnasium - 10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

- This has the feel of a college fair, highlighting academic majors and extracurricular opportunities. Where can students go with a specific degree? They can find out here with the professors they’ll have in class.

Special Presentations, Rooms throughout Park Center - 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

- Topics include pre-professional program advisement, campus activities, residence life and housing, academic support services, financial aid and the SUNY Cortland Honors Program. Performances by DanceWorks and Cortland Dance Company also take place.

Campus Tours and Residence Hall Tours - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Walking tours are offered continuously, bringing visitors to academic buildings and residence halls.

Additional Events

Musical: Sweet Charity, Dowd Mainstage 4/5 & 4/6 at 7:30 p.m.

Parking will be available near the Route 281 parking lot. Please look for parking instructions from our University Police Department during Open House.
