The Open House provides the opportunity to learn more about SUNY Cortland and envision your future as a Red Dragon.
Attendees will have the chance to:
- Chat with professors in your major.
- Meet student activity leaders.
- Attend faculty and staff presentations.
- Meet the President.
Attendees are encouraged to:
- Ask questions.
- Tour campus.
- Taste our food.
- Share ice cream with other accepted students.
- Get a photo taken at our photo booth.
- Experience life as a Red Dragon!
Driving instructions
Enter 1 Folmer Drive, Cortland, NY 13045 on a GPS device to reach the parking lot. University Police will guide you to available spots.
With a large number of visitors expected on campus, please allow enough time for parking.

SUNY Cortland President Erik J. Bitterbaum and other members of the campus community offer brief remarks. Coffee and pastries are provided.

This has the feel of a college fair, highlighting academic majors and extracurricular opportunities. Where can students go with a specific degree? They can find out here with the professors they’ll have in class.

Student Life Center Bistro
Lunch will be provided in the Bistro, a residential dining facility located in the Student Life Center. After lunch, join us for and informal meet-up with other accepted students, enjoy SUNY Cortland's very own Red Dragon's Delight ice cream, stop by our 360-degree photo booth and learn more about next steps.

Walking tours are offered continuously, bringing visitors to academic buildings, student life facilities and residence halls.

Friday Night TEDx Conference
TEDx SUNY Cortland is the university’s local, independent program to highlight interesting speakers sharing big ideas.
Exploring the university's 2024-25 theme of AIR. Selected speakers explore the invisible forces affecting our lives and share their thoughts with a global audience. The topics this theme lends itself to are as rich and varied as imagination itself. The event will take place 6-8pm.

Friday and Saturday Night Entertainment
On Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5, our musical theatre program is putting on a production of “Anything Goes.”

Saturday Afternoon Exhibition
From 12:30pm-3:30pm the Dowd Gallery will be holding the "Imagination Celebration" exhibition highlighting Cortland county K-12 students.
