Relation to Educational Program
Academic Coaching will give the GA experience working one on one with college students who are referred for executive function skills building and opportunities to discuss learning strategies that could work for their situation.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one academic coaching to students referred by the DRO
- Support students in developing executive functioning skills: organization, planning, goal setting, and problem-solving
- Help students create strategies for managing assignments and preparing for exams
- Refer students to campus resources such as the Learning Center and Writing Center
- Document each coaching session, including:
- Upcoming assignments and exams
- Strategies discussed for completion and preparation
- Campus resources recommended
- Agreed-upon goals for the next session
Salary/Stipend
$1,750 per semester for a 10 hour/week obligation
Tuition Support
Three credits of graduate tuition support per semester.
