Fulbright Teaching Assistant Award Program:

The English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Programs place Fulbrighters in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to the local English teachers. ETAs help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. The age and academic level of the students varies by country, ranging from kindergarten to university level.

Fulbright Brazil English Teaching Assistant Awards:


Teach English in Brazil over a 9 month appointment. Applicants should have some experience working in an educational environment and, specifically, with classroom teaching. Candidates with degrees in English, Applied Linguistics, Foreign Languages, AND certification or significant coursework in Teacher Education or TESOL are strongly preferred.

Diversity Abroad Fellowship Program:

Diversity Abroad invites Graduate students and new professionals interested in pursuing careers or gaining professional development experience in Global Education to apply for a 1-Year Fellowship to work remotely with Diversity Abroad in Student Support Services, Educational Resources & Member Engagement, Research & Scholarship, and Event Coordination.

The Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET):

JET has sent more than 60,000 global participants (including nearly 32,000 Americans) to work in schools, boards of education, and government offices throughout Japan. This program offers a unique cultural exchange opportunity to meet people from all around the world, living and working in Japan.

TAPIF: Teaching Assistant Program in France:

This program places assistant English teachers in classes for 12 hours per week and in up to three primary or secondary schools. Besides France, positions are also available in the French-speaking countries of Reunion, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and French Guiana. Monthly salary provided, housing is arranged independently. To be eligible, applicants must be between 20 and 35 years old, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and a native English speaker with at least intermediate level (B1) proficiency in French. Applications are open between October and January, with positions lasting from October through April.

Aclipse (Teach English in China and Korea):

Aclipse places recent college graduates into teaching positions in the Chinese and South Korean school systems. Applicants do not need to have teaching experience to apply.

English Opens Doors Program: Ministry of Chilean Education:

The Program was created in 2003 with the mission to improve the level of English for students between 5th grade and 12th grade throughout the Chilean public school system by providing teacher training, instructional materials, language competitions, English immersion camps, and semester abroad scholarships for university students.
