The State University of New York College at Cortland offers interdisciplinary courses in computer applications so that all students in liberal arts or professional studies programs will have the opportunity to become familiar with the use of computers. Descriptions of the courses are given on the CAP course descriptions page.
Cortland also offers an interdisciplinary minor in computer applications. The minor is designed to complement any academic major because it focuses on applying computers within various academic disciplines. Students completing the minor will have been exposed to the skills and knowledge needed to use a variety of computers and packaged software as tools to solve problems in their respective disciplines.
As part of the Computer Applications Program, many Cortland students do work for which they receive independent study, practicum, or internship credit.
