- Childhood Education - MST in Childhood Education
- Literacy - MSEd in Literacy Education
- Students with Disabilities - MSEd in Special Education: Inclusive Teaching and Advocacy
- Health Education
- Physical Education
- Communication Sciences & Disorders
- Other graduate program majors will be considered on a case by case basis
- In person availability 20 hours per week in Childhood and Early Childhood Education Department Office
- Acceptance into SUNY Cortland graduate program in:
- Desired
- Experience using myRedDragon (Schedule Builder, Degree Works, Brightspace, Watermark) as a student
- Experience using spreadsheets and other Microsoft Suite platforms
- Experience completing field work in childcare centers and schools
- Organized with attention to detail Good written and oral communication
Relation to Educational Program
Serving as a Graduate Assistant in the Childhood and Early Childhood Education Department allows the graduate student to make connections with faculty, staff, and students within this department and across other departments in the School of Education. The student will become competent with many digital systems and engage with school-based community partners, helping them network as they complete their graduate degree.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include assisting faculty with Watermark assignment monitoring and other curriculum-based projects and assessments, communicating with undergraduate students, assisting with department events and initiatives, greeting students, families, faculty, and staff who come to the department office, and being present in the office to respond to ongoing and varying needs of those who come to and use the department resources.
Salary/Stipend
The stipend is $3,750 per semester.
Tuition Support
This role provides 6 credits of graduate tuition to the graduate assistant.
