Yoga and Meditation

Try out yoga and/or meditation. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing you can move in. Yoga mats are provided and the class is free. Attendance is first come, first served and is open to the first 40 participants who show up for class.

Explore outdoor activities and mental health. Choose your own adventure(s) of snow shoeing and cross-country skiing. If there is snow, we will give it a go. Dress warm, we will be outside. Cold weather gear and weekend rentals for snowshoe and cross country will be raffled.

Tobey Gifford is deeply committed to embracing body neutrality and redefining self-worth. She comes from a strong background in sports and shares her personal story as a gymnast and aerobic athlete. Tobey discusses practices and methods she has learned to truly promote health and appreciation for the body each of us have been given as well as accepting and appreciating others.

Being a college student is challenging. There are tons of academic pressure, obligations added by student organizations, and the ever present social struggle to be accepted amongst one’s peers. These forces are powerful. They can cause individuals to burn out, lose focus, and make decisions that can potentially harm themselves or others. This program, humor-filled and judgment-free, will discuss these forces and help individuals find a guiding purpose rather than obsessing with ego and identity.
