The M.S.Ed. program expands your knowledge and skills in assessment, curriculum development, instruction, educational research and disability studies. If you have certification in adolescence education, this program allows you to add an advanced degree in teaching students with disabilities in grades 7-12.

The M.S.Ed. program leads to New York state certification in Teaching Students with Disabilities, 7-12. It also enhances your professional credentials and prepares you for careers that may include: special education teacher in inclusive 7-12 classrooms, direct consultation or resource room teacher in grades 7-12, special education committee chair, developmental disabilities specialist, curriculum specialist, transition services coordinator or support employment job coach specialist.
