The M.S.Ed. program expands your knowledge and skills in assessment, curriculum development, instruction, educational research and disability studies. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in childhood education, childhood/special education or a bachelor's degree in education that includes content areas such as health, physical education, art, music, early childhood or speech and language.
The M.S.Ed. program leads to New York state certification in Teaching Students with Disabilities, 1-6. The program also enhances your professional credentials and prepares you for positions such as a special or inclusive education teacher, chair of a special education committee, developmental disabilities specialist or community college instructor.
