About

The small leaf linden has heart-shaped small leaves.  Summer flowers are bright, fragrant and attractive.  The fruit is a small, round nut-like drupe, hanging from elliptical leaf-like bracts. The flowers of the small leaf linden attract bees, flies, and hummingbirds.  The soft wood often provides nesting sites for cavity-dwelling birds.
