Applications may be obtained at the Cortland Police Department. The applications are to be filled out by your physician and returned to the police department for processing.

  • Fixed Route: For persons with disabilities, the fare will be 50 cents for a one-way trip. The buses operate from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will travel the same route each hour.  

  • Demand-Response-Dial-A-Ride: Cortland Transit will operate a county-wide Dial-A-Ride system.  Residents wishing to access this service must contact the dispatch office no later than 4 pm the day prior to their transportation request to make arrangements. Same day requests will be honored on an as-available basis and a surcharge will be assessed. The surcharge will be 50 percent, or one-half of the dial-a-ride fare. The fares for the dial-a-ride system vary according to where an individual lives and where they wish to go. However, the minimum fare has been established to be $3 one way, with the maximum one-way fare set at $6.  For more information, or to schedule dial-a-ride service, call Cortland Transit.
