Winter Session 2021 Dates

Winter Session I: Dec. 22, 2020 - Jan. 19, 2021

Winter Session II: Jan. 5 - 19, 2021

*No class requirements or assignments should be due on December 24, 25 and 31; and January 1 and 18. Administrative offices are closed on these dates (or offer very limited services). Winter Session 2021 Holiday Office Availability will be posted in December 2020 and will note specific hours during the Winter Session and holiday break.

Frequently Asked Questions

The same time tickets and pins used for Spring 2021 apply to Winter Session. Students will register for Winter Session via MyRedDragon for the duration that online registration is open. As the term approaches, the process will move to an alternate registration method. The Registration FAQ page provides the specific registration dates and methods for current students. Please encourage students to register for Winter Session when they register for their Spring 2021 courses.

How many credits can a student take during Winter Session?

Students can register for a maximum of 5 credit hours during Winter Session. Associate Deans may approve a student for a credit overload of 6; however, please note that the Winter Session is only 4 weeks long. 

Financial aid is not offered specifically for Winter Session.  However, Winter Session charges can be included in a SUNY Cortland student’s cost of attendance to allow for additional loan eligibility for the academic year.  Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information.

Questions regarding billing, payments and refunds should be directed to Student Accounts at bursar@cortland.edu. Winter Session 2021 tuition and fee information is now available. Bills are due Friday, December 4. Students who do not provide payment by the due date will be deregistered.
