Yards for Yeardley is an awareness and activation event supported by the national foundation, One Love. One Love was founded in honor of Yeardley Love: A young woman who tragically lost her life at 22 as a result of dating violence. Her death was completely preventable. One Love's mission is to make sure that it doesn’t happen to others.
Started in December 2014 by three young women on the Boston College and University of Virginia lacrosse teams, Yards for Yeardley has become a community awareness and activation event through which individuals across the country have rallied to honor Yeardley Love and support One Love's mission to end relationship abuse by educating young people about healthy and unhealthy relationships.
