Spring 2021 Guide and COVID-19 information

About Adirondack Trail Blazers

Adirondack Trail Blazers was established in 2013 and is built around Cortland’s 65 years of tradition connecting students and faculty in the outdoors. The inaugural program in 2013 had eight participants, and has increased to over 40 participants annually.  We hope to continue to grow as a program to provide this experience to as many incoming students as possible.  History of the ATB program has shown that it's a great way to build relationships and meet new friends while gaining confidence prior to classes even starting.  An experience at Raquette Lake creates lifelong memories, which many of our current students and alumni talk about frequently.

The Adirondack Trailblazers Program will run this year, August 2021. The program will look different this year to account for changes due to COVID-19.  Please check back on May 1, 2021 for more details.

The 2021 Adirondack Trail Blazers program is for any incoming first-year or transfer student in the fall.  Students who transferred to Cortland in the spring of 2021 are also welcome to join since we do not offer a spring ATB program.  The program will run during the week before classes begin for the semester.

The cost of the program is $410 and includes your camping equipment, food, room and transportation throughout the course. Financial assistance is available through the application process.
