Located halfway between Syracuse and Binghamton in New York’s stunning Finger Lakes region, Cortland can be reached via Interstate Route 81, Route 11, Routes 281 and 41 or Route 13 from Ithaca.

Bus and Ground Transportation

Travel directly to Cortland by car or take Amtrak to Syracuse and then catch a bus or cab to Cortland. Greyhound and New York Trailways offer bus and motor coach service with drop off in Cortland. Within the city of Cortland, taxi and limousine services, as well as Cortland Transit, make traveling easy.

    The bus system operates on 30-minute intervals between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Buses arrive and depart every hour and every half hour from the Cortland County Office Building, 60 Central Avenue.
