Information for Teacher Candidates Who Are Placed in a PDS...

All teacher candidates who are enrolled in at least one class that is part of a formal PDS partnership with a regional school or child care center are considered PDS student interns.

Student interns have a very unique roles and responsibilities because they are asked to begin to transition from being a college student to becoming a professional during the time that they are still taking college classes while practicing their teaching skills in authentic classrooms.

Student interns who are interested in being mentored by one of our college faculty members who are part of the PDS are encouraged to apply to become a PDS Fellow.
