Thank you for your interest in traveling abroad through SUNY Cortland's International Programs Office! Through our guidance and support, you have the opportunity to partake in the following unique international experiences: study, conduct an internship, perform independent research, or teach abroad.
As a SUNY Cortland-sponsored student abroad, you will enjoy many benefits:
With approval from your home campus, academic credits earned abroad will transfer back to your home campus - enabling you to continue to earn credits toward your graduation requirement while gaining invaluable cross-cultural competencies.
Courses selected with the approval of your home campus Academic Advisor can satisfy course requirements for your major - allowing you to continue to advance toward your degree.
If you take a minimum of 6 credits in the summer and/or 12 credits during a semester abroad, you may be eligible to financial aid; therefore, with the help of loans, your international experience is affordable
