The Institute for Sustainable International Studies, I.S.I.S. Belize, is dedicated to providing a wide variety of experiential learning, focusing on sustainability. I.S.I.S. delivers customized learning programs utilizing the natural wonders of Belize; sharing and respecting Belize's cultural diversity, incredible bio-systems and rich heritage.

Summer 2014 Admission: April 1, 2014

Please submit the following by the application deadline:

The Course Approval Form (due May 1st) is to be submitted by SUNY Cortland students only. Non-Cortland students must speak with their home campus study abroad office for information on the course approval process.

Non-Cortland students must return completed Judicial Review and Code of Conduct forms along with the SUNY application.

Travel Information

Flight booked by participant. Participants will fly into Belize City and be provided with transportation upon arrival to San Ignacio.

Return Date to U.S. (2 Week Program): June 14, 2014

Return Date to U.S. (4 Week Program): June 28, 2014

Accepted students will receive an updated budget as a part of their acceptance packet.

Summer Course Schedule: Select one course from Section A for the 2 Week/3 Credit program. Select one course from Section A and one from Section B for the 4 Week/6 Credit program.

Accommodation varies depending upon course(s) taken. Participants in the extended Service Learning Program will live with carefully selected host families.
