The Deutsche Sporthochschule in Cologne, Germany is an internationally renowned university-level special purpose institution devoted to professional preparation in physical education, sports and recreation. It has world class indoor and outdoor sporting facilities along with an outstanding faculty. Cologne is, at the same time, one of Germany's oldest cities and its fourth-largest. Nestled along the fabled Rhine River, Cologne is home to the Olympic and Sport Museum and the headquarters of Ford Europe. It is a city of 1 million in a metropolis region of 10 million.

2.5 GPA

Sophomore, Junior or Senior Status

German is not required; students may choose from a minimum of 25 different courses taught in English.  German proficiency allows students to partake in all available courses.

A non-refundable $20 application fee must be included with the application. Cash or a check, made payable to SUNY Cortland, are both acceptable forms of payment.

Accommodations

On-Campus Housing required; housing includes a double or single bedroom with a central bath and access to a shared kitchen; On-campus cafeteria (mensa) provides affordable, complete meals for $5.00/meal, local cafes and grocery stores also provide affordable meals.
