Welcome to the International Student Services site

Thank you for choosing SUNY Cortland for your American education. As an international student at SUNY Cortland, you will have the opportunity to join our vibrant campus community of roughly 7,000 students from 26 states and 11 countries. For more than 130 years, the State University of New York College at Cortland (SUNY Cortland) has been helping students discover their strengths, develop their interests, and prepare for their futures. By spending a semester at Cortland, you will develop new skills, perspectives, and friendships that will last a lifetime. Our campus community values its international students and welcomes the unique perspective that you will bring to this campus.

You will find links on our website for all application forms and documentation information that you will need to provide in order to come to SUNY Cortland. 

Once accepted, please make your travel plans with the following dates in mind:

We will expect you to arrive at SUNY Cortland on January 16th or January 17th, 2010  for a mandatory orientation prior to the commencement of classes. You are welcome to stay in on-campus housing from January 16th- May 22nd (9am). The first day of class is January 25th and the last day of final exams is May 19th. Please provide us with information regarding your arrival plans as soon as finalized. Please be sure to read the booklet entitled SUNY Cortland International Student Guide; it contains valuable information you may need in planning your trip to Cortland.
