Welcome, International Students and Scholars!

The International Programs Office welcomes all international students, staff, faculty, visitors, and their families to the State University of New York college at Cortland (SUNY Cortland). Our office is here to help you navigate the U.S. immigration process, prepare for your arrival in the U.S., and adjust to life in Cortland. We are ready to answer your questions about immigration and visas, employment in the U.S., health care and insurance, academic affairs, housing, banking, and any other questions you may have about campus and community life and academics.  Our goal is to support you in meeting your academic, professional, and personal goals while you are here, while also enjoying all that Cortland and central New York State have to offer.

Our international population contributes great value to our vibrant community, which is comprise of roughly 7,000 students from 26 states and 11 countries. For more than 130 years, SUNY Cortland has been helping students discover their strengths, develop their interests, and prepare for their futures. Whether you intend to spend a semester or several years at Cortland, you will develop new skills, perspectives, and friendships that will last a lifetime. Our campus community values its international students and welcomes the unique perspective that you will bring to this campus.
