Gloria is a junior, a Community Health Major with a minor in Speech and Hearing Science. She is currently the Secretary of the Student Government Association (SGA) and also a Resident Assistant at Cheney Hall. Gloria aspires to attend Graduate school after her Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Cortland to pursue the field of Occupational Therapy. Also, she hopes to become a philanthropist for developing African countries. Her biggest dream is to go back to her homeland, Ghana to establish a rehabilitation center for the handicapped as part of her philanthropic acts. Furthermore, Gloria has been involved with SGA since her first year in college. She started as a Senator during her first year through to her sophomore year. She was the Treasurer for the Pan African Student Association (PASA) while managing the position of an Administrative Assistant (AA) at West Campus Apartments. Gloria has been involved in many clubs such as; the Speech Club (NSSHLA), American Sign Language (ASL) Club, Gospel Choir and Hall Council. Gloria is a very humble and caring person who takes pride in everything that she does, and completes it to the best of her ability. She is very excited to be a part of the SGA community and looks forward to getting to know you. With this, she believes that we can work together to make gradual improvements that we want to see in SUNY Cortland.
