La Familia Latina

La Familia Latina is a Latino based organization focused on empowering our people for the seventh generation. With the help of our creator and our ancestors, we are trying to revitalize our traditional cultural values. We strive to promote the academic achievement and social development of our members while engaging in activities supporting multicultural competence and civic engagement with the hope of retaining students from historically underrepresented racial/ethnic groups on the Cortland campus. Through our educational meeting topics and events we hope to not only instill our culture within ourselves and our members but to educate and welcome our fellow campus community.
