Join us from 4:25 to 5:40 in Mary McGuire's room (G12, Old Main) as Kristina Lambright, Director of Graduate Studies at Binghamton University, discusses the importance of a Master's in Public Administration from Binghamton University as well as answers any questions that you may have.  This event is free and open to the public. 

November 4, 2009: Untold Stories Movie Series (Part IV):  The War on Democracy

November 10, 2009:  Service Learning Shop Talk Series (Part III):  Planning and Evaluating Service Learning Projects

November 12, 2009:  Fire It Up: Lead the Way to Change Leadership Conference

Come to SUNY Cortland's Corey Union on Thursday, November 12 from 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. to take part in SUNY Cortland's first Leadership Conference.  Check out the website at Fire It Up.  This conference is free and open to the public, but registration is required.  You can pick up a registration form at 9 Main Street, Cortland, NY 13045, or you can go to the website and register online.

November 12, 2009:  Untold Stories Movie Series (Part V):  Peace, Propaganda, and the Promised Land

November 19, 2009:  Untold Stories Movie Series (Part VI):  Breaking Ranks

Breaking Ranks is the last film of this series, and will focus on United States soldiers' testimonies from war in the Middle East and their opposition and desertion from war.  It will be shown at 7 p.m. in SUNY Cortland's Brown Auditorium in Old Main.  This event is free and open to the public.  Contact Timothy Rodriguez for further information at timothy.rodriguez@cortland.edu or (607) 753-4271.

November 21 @ 7 p.m. - November 22 @ 7 a.m.:  Relay for Life

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature activity.  It is offering anyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer.  Teams of people will camp out at Lusk Fieldhouse at SUNY Cortland and take turns walking or running around the 200 meter track.  Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.  There will be vigils, food, competitions, and various activities to participate in at the event!

There is no required amount of money to participate in Relay For Life. The American Cancer Society's recommendation is for each participant to set a personal goal to raise atleast $100. If you don't raise the required amount that would be fine. You would still be able to participate in th Relay For Life.
