Cortland Counts is an assessment of health and well-being in Cortland County prepared by the Seven Valleys Health Coalition in cooperation with the Cortland County Health Department, Cortland Regional Medical Center, SUNY Cortland’s Institute for Civic Engagement, and United Way of Cortland County, Inc.

Pages 164-169 of the 2013 Cortland Counts Comprehensive Report summarize focus groups that were held among clients of local service providers such as, Access to Independence, Loaves and Fishes, the Homer Senior Center, Prevention Resources, and Model Moms etc., representing a number of economically disadvantaged populations. These focus groups identified a number of priority needs that the Economic Inequality Initiative may find helpful in brainstorming efforts.
