Residence Life and Housing requires all new transfer students (with at least sophomore credits) to live on campus for a total of two semesters.

Exceptions to the Housing Requirement

Students who fit the following descriptions may be exempt from the housing requirement:

  • Over 21 Years Old (Must be 21 by September 1st)
  • Commuting from home (maximum 60 mile radius)
  • Married
  • Veteran

If you meet one of the above exceptions, fill out the Off Campus Approval form.

Returning Student Housing Requirement

Returning students signing up to live on campus for the following year must sign up for both the fall and spring semesters unless they have an academic reason and will not be within commuting distance of the campus. (example: student teaching, internship, study abroad).

You may request to move off campus by filling out a Request to Terminate Room and Board License form on myRedDragon.  Click on the Student Online tab, go to the Residence Life and Housing section, click on "Housing Forms for Continuing/Returning Students", and click on "Request to Terminate Room and Board License".  Follow the directions found on the form to complete the process.
