Web Registration Directions
From your browser, go to the SUNY Cortland home page (http://www.cortland.edu), and select myRedDragon from the Quick Links. To maximize your registration processing, close all other window applications that are open. To verify the status of the network and or servers, call 753-2000. The Web will be open for registration activity from 6 am until 11:59 pm daily.
- Login: Enter your User Name (firstname.lastname) and password. If you are unable to obtain access, contact the Help Desk (753-2500) between the hours of 8:00-4:30.
- Select: Student Online tab, then select Main Menu.
- Select: "Academic Services & Registrar-related Functions," then "Registration Menu."
- Select: "Check Registration Status." Choose the semester/term and select: "Submit Term." Note your registration time-ticket. You will not be able to register before the day and time indicated. Please be aware, your registration time is NOT an excuse to miss class. If you are able to register, go directly to the next step. If you are unable to register because of a hold, you must clear the hold before you can register. If your academic status or standing prohibits registration contact the Registrar's Office, or Office of Graduate Studies.
- Select: "Add or Drop Classes" at the very bottom of the Registration Status page. If you are an undergraduate, enter your Registration PIN number that you received from your advisor. Please see your advisor if you have lost your Registration PIN number. Graduate students will only need the active time-ticket to register, and will NOT have a Registration PIN number.
- Enter the CRN (course reference number) for each of your course selections once you are in the registration worksheet. The CRN may be found on the Registrar's home page under Course Schedule and Registration Information; you may perform a class search by course prefix or course attribute as you register on the Web.
- Select: "Submit Courses." Courses you have successfully registered for and any errors that prevent a successful registration will be displayed. Try to resolve your registration errors if possible. (Refer to the Web Registration Error Messages for details on the most common errors).
- Now that you are registered, return to the Registration Menu, and select "Student Schedule" or "Student Schedule Grid" to view and print your schedule.
- Carefully check your registration. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY OF YOUR REGISTRATION. To logout, select the Logout button. CLOSE YOUR BROWSER TO SECURE YOUR RECORDS.
Note: Web Registration access will be unavailable from midnight to 6am daily for system maintenance.
