OP Community Bike Program

The Cortland Bike Project's mission is to continue to provide a healthy, alternative mode of transportation to the college campus and to support the College's commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.

Thanks to the support from ASC, we have been fortunate to provide a free bike-share program to students, where bikes can be checked out free of charge for one week at a time.

Free Red Bike Checkout

  • Bikes are free to check out for one week at a time during select periods during the fall & spring semesters
  • Patrons cannot re-check out the same bike the same day
  • Each bike comes with a lock, bell and helmet (lights may be rented for a small price)
  • All routine maintenance needed is free, but obvious abuse repairs will be charged appropriately

  • Each bike rental comes with a combo U-lock, bell, helmet and front and rear lights
  • All routine maintenance needed is free, but obvious abuse repairs will be charged appropriately
