Cortland Bike Project

The Cortland Bike Project's mission is to continue to provide a healthy, alternative mode of transportation to the college campus and to support the College's commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.

Thanks to the support from ASC, we have been fortunate to provide a free bike-share program to students, where bikes can be checked out free of charge for one week at a time.

Additionally, SUNY Cortland has been awarded Bronze status for Bicycle Friendly University.

"The Bicycle Friendly University program recognizes institutions of higher education for promoting and providing a more bikeable campus for students, staff and visitors. The BFU program provides the roadmap and technical assistance to create great campuses for cycling." - BFU

More information can be found about the BFU program on the League of American Bicyclists webpage by following this link.
