 Student Life Center Offers State-Of-The-Art Equipment

The Student Life Center boasts a wide array of cardiovascular equipment including: Precor and Woodway Treadmills, Octane Cross Trainers, Precor elliptical fitness cross-trainers, Cybex Arc and Precor Adaptive Motion Trainers, Stairmaster Stepmills, Jacobs Ladders, Marpo Rope Trainers, Concept II Rowing ergometers, Expresso Virtual Reality bicycles and a variety of spinning bicycles. In addition, the facility offers Precor, Hoist and Hammer Strength Selectorized and plate loaded weight-training equipment, Cybex Bravo Cable Trainers, Marpo Rope Trainers, and a wide variety of free weights. The building also offers four power lifting platforms and rubber plates for Olympic-style lifting. Our Combatives Room offers space for stretching, light weight training, and individual calisthenics. This room also houses two heavy bags and a speed bag.

 Student Life Center Staff Provide Excellent Supervision and Instruction

Louise Mahar is our full-time Assistant Director of Recreational Sports for Fitness. She is a Certified Health and Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sport Medicine and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Louise is experienced and knowledgeable. She provides excellent training for her two Graduate Assistants for Fitness, Alanna Darling, who manages the Personal Training Program on campus and Geoffrey Hurley who oversees the Group Exercise Program. Louise is regularly available within the fitness facilities to provide training and direction for her fitness instructor staff. They are all dedicated to help you get the most from your fitness program.
